CBR900RR Carb help please

Hi guys,
i hope someone here with bike knowledge can help, at the moment im in the middle of fitting a set of CBR900RR fireblade carbs to my car. all i need to know is, what is the purpose of this grey pipe coming down from the middle of the carbs connected just below the diaphram covers??

As an educated guess...I`d say crankcase breather that goes from the head into the airbox or carbs...?

I have a vague recollection of taking mine apart and that pipe going into the airbox, but it was about 7 years ago now, so don't quote me on it !

thats what i had an idea of, i was thinking it went from the head on the bike to the carb. thanks for replies guys cheers!!

carbs look simialr to the ones on my jap bike. could be the breathers from the float chambers to the airbox.
