I've been reading all the reviews in the mags this month about the new Triumph Street Triple and they all love it.
I can't remember the last British bike to be reviewed this well.

I could live without the 3 into 2 exhaust but otherwise I think this looks a really good buy at £5k ish.

Its a cracking looking bike at a great price, but it appears the press are all over it like a rash.

Plus, I've never fully come round to the bug eye look of those twin headlights on the Speed Triple, I prefer the single light approach.

Edit: Just watched the video. Lovely noise from that engine! Imagine what it would sound like with some great cans, yummy!

I seen one of these in the flesh before a flight to the maldives at manchester airport. What a stunning bike it is too.

They do sound immense with open race pipes...KC runs a bike with no cans & it`s like a 6R4 on steroids...yes

I've done a quite a few miles on one and there are few bikes, if any, that would be more fun or faster on a good twisty road. The induction roar is very addictive and it's got loads of mid range grunt. Top bike !

Me too read the reports. Dammit-only bought my ER6n in March-wish I'd waited for that extra bit of power and (even sweeter) handling apparently & price is not stupid either. Mind you I still like the parallel twin grunt of the Kwack but I have a thing for that 3 pot motor.
As far as the 3 into 2 exhaust goes I'm quite into them as well having had an 885 Sprint Sport with same set up. It does help the top end howl.

Have to admit i am thinking of trading the zx10 in for one.

The 10 is just silly on the road, hardly ever get out of second gear when pushing on, either that or just potter about in 6th.

The STrip is looking odds on, trade for a new one in the spring with arrow can and some bling for nothing.

Keep you posted, should get a test ride in a few weeks.

I got a Speed Triple because it makes me laugh without going completely mad, it's a lively wheelie prone fun bike and I'm not doing silly speeds so much now due to the lack of wind protection (instant bad Vs jail).
Top bike so far, the only thing I'm not keen on is the gearbox, as it needs a fairly solid shift and is a bit clunky.

And if you like attention it does tend to give folk whiplash as you go past!
