GPz almost out of resto....
Discussion
yup, looks like the GPz 550 will be coming out of hibernation after nearly a year. much blasting and powdercoating, much chemcal cleaning, and a full professional respray.
ok ok, it would have been cheaper to flog as was and buy an old ZZR 600 or similar, but as it was passed down to me from my dad, and as i love the styling of the darth vader GPz's i decided to freshen the old girl up!
pics soon.

Good lad, it's only a waste if you don't want it afterwards!.
I gave my old GPZ600R a good going over a couple of years ago (powdercoated frame, new bearings, new suspension etc).
I'm currently working on an ancient BMW K100RT for no reason other than I've got spare time and don't like telly!
There is something about doing up old bikes that still won't be worth much when you're finished.
Personally I can't resist a lost cause, the BMW was £275 and had been sitting for 3 years so you can imagine the state the things in.
It's all good fun...
