God its a bloody pain in the backsidefrown They are doing all the roads my way. And it seems that the warning signs are getting closer and closer to the actual newly layed gravel. The other day i was riding home and then suddenly bang!!!! its there yikes the car in front of me brakes and slows and i had to just drift by him with fingers crossedfrown And yes i was at a safe distance as well but made no difference. It was a 60mph road as well being that i live in the country the gravel was right round a corner. I still get the jitters hitting that sh1tfrown Hardly a rant but i do feel strongly about it.
Bloody gravelfrownfrown

I have been reading MSN this week and the anti biking group have been pushing to ban big bikes and put power limiters on them. What is it with folk that are so against us!?!
Such a lack of thought against a very large group of people.....us bikers, so much so that they have no thought about slapping some tar down and throwing grit on the top and calling it a usable road surface! Arghhhhhhh! evil

But it's cheap and no one really cares if a few people are inconvenianced or killed as a result. It also means the money can be better spent else where such as...................

I came off on a newly resurfaced gravel road a couple of months back, they'd resurfaced just the corner at the end of a nsl straight and the first sign was inside the works. Have now employed a solicitor and he said that by law there must be signs placed at 50 meters and 100 meters (IIRC) *prior* to the hazzard, without those you can claim and will win, it's a legal requirement.

If I am allowed to put forward some form of debate, without being blasted for it, as you asked the question. I'll happily give you my opinion why.

NB I'm not "anti bike brigade" in the gung-ho sense, I happen not to like them very much sure, but I'm not here to get personal. If opposing opinons aren't welcome, then that's fine, no problem. rotate

yes That's exactly what I thought. Piwilts, opposing opinions are not a problem, but what is your opinion? Is it simply that you don't like bikes very much? If so then fine, but why bother to share that with us at all? Or are you saying gravelling the roads is fine and so what if a few bikes go down? (Which you will rightly get blasted for).
