I only saw the replay, which was from a stationary camera at the edge of the gravel trap which ran to the right towards the (I think it was) the Lycee corner, the last right hander before the chicane at the end of the lap.
One bike came barrel rolling into shot with the rider tumbling along the gravel followed by half the bike of the other then from a great height the rear wheel. As I say I didn't see the incident but I guess they touched going though the right hand curver under the bridge out of Chateau D'eau and one bike must have had a heavy impact into the outside wall. Both riders walked away albeit dazed.
