Apparently there's been an 'incident' between Stoner and Checa during FP2. Not entirely sure what happened but it looks like Stoner flipped Checa the bird after erm, something happened.

I should be a journalist with reporting like that.

Bugger....just heard the qualifying result, so there goes the excitement of watching it this evening. News & forum blackout for me tomorrow 'till Suzi's on (unless I can delay further for Eurosport coverage) for the race methinks.

I guess Casey's new found success this year has brought a bit of amnesia with it...... seem to recall him getting severely in Pedrosa's way last year by almost doing a practice start in wrong part of track. Pedrosa got at least as agitated as Casey did & carried it over into pit lane IIRC.

Stoner got in the way of Pedrosa on a slow down lap, he apologised to Pedrosa in the pit and paid the $2,000 fine.

Stoner in 9th!

Should be a good race, looks like Bridgstone are not going to have it all their own way as everyone thought they would.

I would like to see Haydon have a win, looks like he was trying in qualifying.

I'm sure a Bologna resident would disagree with that last comment.....wink

I think it's a remarkable achievement from Ducati breaking the 34 year domination of the Japanese makes in 500GP/Moto GP championship, when you have to go all the way back to 1974 and Phil Read's winning on an MV Agusta.

Would love to see this spark a return from MV as well..lick....or maybe even make Triumph have a think about going racing.

just a couple of points, from what i understand the ducati corse hq is seperate from the main ducati factory and is in modena hehe
and also i think mv having enough trouble trying to get fogartys arse in gear with this proposed wsb team let alone a motogp team!!!!!!!

also triumph are rumoured to be going world supersport in 08 tying up with the sc caracchi team and eventtually wsb in 09 which makes me think we got a 675 stylee superbike on the way....cloud9
