MotoGP - One tyre for all?
Discussion
If tyre development is going to continue as it has been (which is VERY good for us) then they all need to be involved in high quality motorsport. Terrible idea to go 1 make, IMO.
Turn off the traction control if you want better racing. It should be about rider skill, not electronic jiggery-pokery.

put rossi on the ducati and he can get the coffee in when he is 10 seconds ahead every week.
Prove it?but as above i think remove all the electronics and lets see if stoner can handle a 200bhp racing machine. rossi has proved in previous years that he certainly can - stoner on the other hand got spit off on a regular basis.
dont get me wrong i think stoner has been brilliant this year and has rode perfectly but im just usre rossi is the better rider
Mmmm - tough one . . .
How about encouraging more manufacturers to get involved to increase the size of the grid, for a start.
Then limit the use of electronics to focus more on rider skill and allow more overtaking.
Finally, on a random basis, allocate riders to each team at the start of each race weekend and award prize money and points to winning riders and manufacturers! Then nobody could claim a rider won because he had the best machine, and the winning manufacturer would win because it truly had the best bike and not just the best rider!
Crazy notion, I know, and unrealistic, but how much fun would that make the racing?!! It would also be great to compare riders' lap times on different machines!

Prove it?PS Is your real name Adrianna?
PPS Sorry chilli, tyre rule? Didn't seem to harm WSB as I thought it may. But, Moto GP? Can't decide, though it would stop the bickering. Anyhow, I don't believe it's the tyres that's the problem, I think that it's the electronics taking over that's doing more harm.

Bring back the 500cc two strokes!but not practical as like most forms of motorsport it is marketting driven and 2 strokes are not readily available on the road except diddy ones.
There again the WRC cars look like road cars but are racers in drag too so.....
On a lighter note if there was only one tyre each and they had to wheely around the track.......

I like Rossi, I think he's the greatest rider there's ever been and I think he does a lot for the sport but that doesn't mean I'm going to be foolish enough to cast untestable suppositions about how any other rider would perform on any other machinery. I'm quite sure Loris had much better odds at the start of the season than Casey did.
There's also a very strong argument that this is going to Valentino's last year in MotoGP so your financial argument is a moot point.
As I said, I have nothing against Rossi, he's great but don't assume greatness is absolute and don't make insane claims about what you think has a possibility of happening when there's no feasible way of it ever being tested.
