Thinking about going 2 the Nurburging next year, anybody got any advice? never been out of Scotland on the bike!! Need sites 2 look up etc

Think its mibi safer just 2 do a trackday abroad? Am not that fast, so dont want 2 put masel in any more danger with wobbling roand there, and keeping all the locals back?
