Had a wonderful day at North Oxford riding the BMW range as a newbie rider today.
Had 4 hrs riding with no sales pressure and the Cotswolds as my play ground. First out was a R1200GS which is hugely rated in the mags, in my opinion the engine was a bag of nails the stability for a newbie was not impressive.

Then I was offered a K1200GT SE wow what a bike that is, 150 bhp ABS Electronic Suspension, heated grips and "seat". Very easy to ride, brakes were strong and the engine turbine smooth. It afforded me, my first 3 car overtaking bike maneuver biggrin. And the insurance is dirty cheap thumbup I simply did not want to hand it back after 2 hrs riding

So now I must figure out the money and get the deposit down ..
