From what I understand from the commentary on sunday he was doing a practice start where they rely on the ecu to sort it all out... all Dani had to do was open the throttle and dump the clutch and the bike was supposed to do the rest. Unfortunately the ecu went mental and did that to him. The commentators suggested that this undermined his confidence in the bike at the start when he had pole and he promptly went backwards. Pesky compooters
