get heated grips, that way you can still wear your summer gloves, I do 100 plus miles a day all year round, and all with summer gloves smile

H G Pathan type (Lobster shaped gloves)

Very warm and dry - and you won't need heated grips with them either.

Alpinestars DryStar Vega. Look like summer gloves but warmer than Satan's kitchen.

there is a pair of gloves that have a liquid that warms up with the heat from your hands, but also takes away the heat in the summer. seems very clever stuff and has been highly recommened in the mags last winter. costs about £65

but off hand cannot remember what they are called

I've got heated grips and they really are good but if you just want good gloves go to Heine Gericke (sp?) and look for their two fingered (pathan?) gloves. Each hand has a thumb piece, a piece for the next to fingers and a separate piece for the last two fingers, very warm and cosy, especially with a thin (silk sperm )underglove cool

Yep, another vote for the "Vulcan" gloves. Hein Gerike do them as well as Lewis, they call them the Thermodore, under £30 on flea bay.

I've just fitted some to the blade and while they are good I would suggest that this is only possible if you've got some mechanism to deflect the wind off your hands or your 'summer' gloves have more thinsulate in them than my gp plus gloves do (none) or don't go about 40.

I agree, which is why I have just fitted hand guards to the Multistrada which do a good job of deflecting the wind. However not suitable for all bikes and would look completely naff on a sports bike.

Ditto - but buy some silk inner gloves to wear with them. Waterproof gloves tend to make your hands sweat a bit and this saves turning them inside out everytime you wear them smile

It's makes them even warmer too!

Just spent £35 at M&P for muffs and heated grips.

That should keep me dry and toasty over winter smile
