Just got in from picking up my new bike, cool!

Not something to get sports bike people excited, its a BMW R1200RT. Got more toys than my car-heated grips and seat, cruise control, automatic everything and a very cool electric screen that cuts all wind buffeting. All in all I'm dead pleased and when you consider its size it rides and handles so well.

Certainly a v cool thing to waft around on...

No pics as yet, but i'll pull the camera out at the weekend. Got to get 600 miles done by Monday morning as I've got the run in service booked...

Cool bike - weather should be mild this weekend (well it is in Nofolk!) so you should be able to rack up the miles. Not that it matters with your heated grips!

All the buttons on the fairing are for the stereo! I didn't spec that as I can't see the point of a stereo on a bike. So I have no buttons on the left and a deep cubby on the right of the fairing where the cd player would have been...

The bike is v cool, 200 mile work run today just knocked out with grips and seat gently warming... Even filtering isn't the horror I thought it could be.

Top stuff though yesterday it was pristene and now its filthy... buggar!

Does the weight feel low down?

Yeah, it holds its weight low and I can just about balance it on the pegs when its stationary. Having said that, for its size its actually deceptively light; its only about 20kgs heavier than a vfr when its full of fuel! And the tank is large, got 300 miles out the first tank.
