Remus cans anyone ?
Discussion
I've got a titanium trapedioizal (sp?) Remus Revolution.
I love the sound; it's deep, and not too loud even with the baffle out. The build quality is excellent (i'm an engineer and IMO it really is well made). Its very solid and the finish stood up to a winter of commuting and still looks as new.
£310 is, perhaps, a bit steep but mine was a xmas/birthday present from the mrs and i'm VERY happy with it.
Might go and get the sound level tested soon to see if it passes Castle Combe's noise regs with the baffle in.
IIRC they are designed so that no re-map is required.
They attach well, mine has a solid mounting bracket instead of a band around the can.

Has anyone got any opinions on Remus exhausts, I am looking to change mine on the ZZR1400, I have had Akra and Blueflame before, but no experience of these cans, would appreciate any input....quality, sound etc.
I had one on my Speed Triple many years ago, glorious sound probably the best I've had on any bike I have owned. I have a carbon trapezoid evolution can for my zx9r.
Same as the guys before me...... its nicely loud but not chavtastic.
Quality is ace and the removable baffle is great for MOT moments.
Only problem i had was when the bracket broke, though i cant knock Remus as such because I made a 2mm mild steel bracket and that snapped too. Must be my bike or something?
I'd rather have an Akro, but remus are fine by me!

1 more question, I understand the removeable baffle is held in via a rivet which you need to drill out, do they provide a bolt to fix in its place after you have drilled it out?
If it's held in with a rivet which you drill out then you'll need another rivet in its place because if it was threaded and they supplied a bolt to replace the rivet then the baffle would have been held in originally with a bolt and not a rivet
BTW, if you do drill out the rivet and decide that it's too loud don't simply replace the rivet with an aluminium rivet which you've found in the shed because the ally rivet will melt firing the baffle out of the can somewhere on the M6

I once put a full remus road legal system on my old gpz1100. It was bloody lovely, top quality, lovely sound without being too loud and well priced too. It just made the rest of the bike look a bit shit in comparison.
