Lavila has to be one surely.

He was desperate to go there and why he did not sign with GSE for BSB this year (this week MCN).

I laughed my arse off with Shakeys comments about wanting to get back to WSB, and then Birdy announces this. Fair play to Byrne though, who wouldn't want to be on a 1098R rocket ship anywhere . . . GSE don't seem to be able to get the sponsorhip to go back to WSB, so unless they line it up for '09, and Shakey manages to have a great year and he get's more than the 1yr deal he has now . . .

With Stobarts involvement in WRC etc it was only a matter of time before he did it . . .

I agree, Lavilla has to be a contender . . .. If Bird's then looking for a British rider . . .

Walker ? (Unless he's signed in WSS)
James Ellison ? (Is he signed it the states)
Chaz Davies ? (not sure if he has signed for Attack Kawasaki yet though)

Most of the established BSB riders are signed and therefore I reckon an experienced guy like Lavilla and someone else to bring along as development for them . .. .

I hope it's a British rider, as then we have got someone to go and see, as otherwise there isn't a Brit on the WSB grid since Toseland went. . .

Think Barros has retired.

Tommy Hill could be one rider - don't think he's signeed yet.

My guess is, Hoffman or Lavilla

Hill - would be great - think likley signed for a WSS team though - hopefully not though.

Ellison would be good if free - Ellison's are the fastestwink

Put Hodgson on the bike cos he'd probably ride for free what with him having no ride this year.
Still a very quick rider

Bird's management prowess leaves a lot to be desired. When Hizzy was racing for him, he (Bird) constantly theatened him with the sack and I believe Shakey got the same treatment.

its called motivation.

lets look at i tthis way, 2 times bsb championship winners, only privateer team to win a race this season and probably one of the best teams in the paddack at attracting sponsors, ok he isnt a "yes sir no sir" team manager but results speak from themselves.

put lavilla and a.n other on a fully hrc supported wsb and watch that team go well.

personally i knew this was happening about a fortnight ago but we were all sworn to secrecy as we were at the same time regarding haslam/crutchlow.

Yeah it really helps, with motivation, to be constantly threatened with the bullet.

It's called piss poor management!!!

have u ever met paul??

do you plough MILLIONS of ur own cash into a team and then become happy when your riders get arsey??

no, i didnt think so.

birdy only gets the press he does because he speaks out, which in this sponsor driven buisness is very very hard to come by, every other team manager is exactly the same its just most seem to let others make the stinging criticism of riders/team personnel/equipment, not themselves.

if i was to put money on the most arsey team manager i would have to say either Stuart hicken (hawk kawasaki) or Simon Buckmaster (Various but jonesy's new boss)

rob mac aint exactly a saint either........
