If it's locking the rear, you are braking too aggresively, which could mean you're travelling too fast for the conditions.
Beware of hedges!!
Yeah, probably, but even changing down it seemed to be a lot more slipping and sliding than I'm used to.Beware of hedges!!

This morning, opened it up in the wet and was in 4th at about 80 when the revs shot up and the rear started to slide. I also had the rear lock up at least 3 times today in the wet. Super Corsa's....pah.
I never had this trouble with the 2CT's.
It's easy to do probably as much down to all the sh*te on the road exaggerated by a bit of light rain. I could see lines of diesel everywhere this morning that and the leaves make it very interesting.I never had this trouble with the 2CT's.

I've just put 2cts the strada, brilliant.

As above; rev-match down the box. It works on every bike
It just takes a little time to master but will stop the rear snatching and sliding.
Brake 50% front and 50% rear in the wet and do it all a lot more gently.
Accelleration (especially on a sports bike) should be much more gentle with smooth application of the throttle. The rear steps out on my old bus in this weather, so a sports bike will be really harsh if you don't ride it correctly for the conditions.
This is the season when all those shiny new bikes gget scratched and dented, so allow a bit more time on your journey and slow down

Had a bit of spin away from a set of lights as I crossed a surface change this morning, but generally I've found the Gixxer very surefooted, and I don't tend to spare the horses.

Are you a little aggressive or snatchy with the controls? One of the biggest things in slippery conditions is to be very smooth.

I noticed an awful lot of diesel on the roads into work this morning. There was a very long spill down the M40 between J3 and 2, which must have emptied the culprits tank pretty much. And lots of large patches around Uxbridge. May have been coming from the same vehicle I guess.
wasnt there at about 1:30am when i came hooning down there.i hated my old roadattacks in the wet, was like riding on wet grass.
