The problem is a really bad knocking when in gear and moving... thought at first the prop had come loose, but that seems to be okay.Engine revs /runs ok in neutral, when you put it in gear and lift the clutch it starts to knock as soon as you move..the knock speeded up the quicker we were going.. thought it might be the clutch as this is a std item...?? It all started when we were coming down the box from bout 70 mph ish..
First thing I'd suggest is you work out if the speed of the knocking is engine speed or wheel speed related. If it is the gearbox, then if the noise is engine speed related, it's the input side of the box, where if it's wheel speed related, it the output side, or something else in the drive train.
