What was it?

Saw a bit of a beast this morning and was wondering what it was.

I'd say from the size and sound that it was at least a 750.

It sounded like a Ducati with race pipes

It had some strange bodywork going from the tank to the half fairing like two turrets (similar to the pipes of the original ZXR750s in position).

Any ideas what it was? I'm thinking Cagiva or Aprillia. I only saw it very briefly but am curious as I've never seen one before.

I never saw it from the front. I came up behind him in traffic but I turned off before I could get a look at the side of it. I just spotted the turrets.
