Alpinestars leathers
Discussion
I've got a TX1 jacket really nice bit of kit (except it's a size too big!). there seems to be a difference in quality between the high end stuff and the cheaper products, some of the cheaper jackets had plastic zips which I wasn't keen on.
If you can afford it take a look at BKS, I saw their stand at the NEC I think thats where my next leathers will come from.

A certain percentage of what you pays is simply paying for the branding as Alpinestars is the 'in' manufacturer.
Personally I went for an Arlen Ness Suit.
A good mate of mine has been down the road 2/3 times in his Alpinestars suit on, few scuffs here and there but still fully serviceable so the quality is pretty good.

Im currently using Hein Gericke's own leathers which have been ok and have been down the road once.I have thought about bks and i know they do really good leathers its just weighing up the prices but they are still in my mind.
I was looking at the Alpinestars rc-1 jacket and the Alpinestars Track Pants to go with it.

Have a Alpinestars dyno jacket + bat pants for 8 years already. Driven a lot in them, even wore the jacket every day for years. Great quality, never once did something fall off, zipper fail etc. Also crashed in it twice (in one weekend, but that's another story). Slight scuffing, no worries.
Cannot recommend them highly enough.

I bought a top of the range two piece Alipinstars suite about 4 maybe 5 years ago.
As you would expect some of the coloured leather has worn away on the curves around the main zip but otherwise it has stayed together brilliantly and this makes me trust thier quality.
Mine have been out in all weathers but thankfully I've had no reason to try thier ultimate purpose
but I would trust in thier integrity even now.
