My mate just asked me what i thought of GP1 extreme 125cc Aprillia, I dont know much about them and he is buying one this week.
I think he is getting an 02 plate import for around £1.1k.

Can you guys help him with some advice?

Cheers in advance

wavey

Good choice by your mate, lovely bikes thumbup

Really just the usual things youd check on any bike (Check for repairs, bottom of pegs to see if its been slid etc...etc...).

With these little two strokes the oil is about the most important thing, therefore should be checked reguarly as quite often the warning light does sod all.

Also check if its been jetted accordingly (If modded) as many people buy things such as a performance exhaust and just stick it on without giving the jetting a thought. If it is too highly jetted it wont be running at full power, it usualy spits some oil out the exhaust along with alot of white smoke. If the jet is too small you will run it too lean and could damage it

When your friend gets it tell him to come join us at http://www.apriliaforum.com/

If he has any probs the guys will be more than willing to help thumbup

Thats 2 stoke for you.
They're a sink for money IF YOU DON'T LOOK AFTER THEM.
Providing you take it easy for the first mile or two, and stick to the service guidelines, shouldn't be a problem.
