Pondered a few times but (especially for Donington) it can be easier to pick-up paddock passes for a similar price.

dont bother, you dont really get to see that much, just email most of the top teams asking to buy a couple of hospitality tickets, youll get to see and do far more....

someone like team roberts for instance, they always sell theres, helps with the cash flow situation!!!

I've been to the Donington VIP village for the last three years. You do get looked after but it is expensive (as are all hospitality options). I guess it depends on what you are looking for. The food, open bar, service, surroundings are great but the view is getting more restrictive every year. The big plus point is if it's raining like it was in 2005 you don't soaked! The pit lane tour lasts about half an hour and the garages are open so you sometimes get to see the riders debriefing with their crew. Paddock tours are best done in the early morning (you choose the time) as the girls showing you around aren't fed up of doing tour after tour so don't rush so much. The other plus point is that sponsers have their own areas in the VIP village so some riders come over to talk about qualifying, etc.

So has anybody actually managed to buy paddock passes direct from teams? I've tried but never got anywhere.

Thanks for the replies lads,

Craig, your obviously in the right game to have good contacts eh? I will try emailing the teams as you suggest.....if you have any names you think I should try, could you PM me please, the web site contacts are generaly just a buffer to the people you really need to talk to I think.

If I get no positive replies, I probably will go for the VIP Village route, I opened my big mouth to the wife, and she has made her mind up that thats what we are doing....doh!

The other big problem I always find with Jerez and Donni for that matter is the getting in and out of the track. Dont suppose the VIP tickets can help with that either, just have to lay of the Cervesa's the night before and get up early. The other GPs I have been to (Mugello and Catalunya) never seem to experience the same problems.

Hey RAWWR, was looking at your site, cool pics from Donny last year. Did the signatures get washed off in the rain that followed then?? I was glad I bought the Redgate Grandstand tickets when the rain came.

Was it a pit pass you had there then, and of course how did you get it.

I have tried emailing some of the teams, but the only answers I have had so far are "we dont sell hospitality tickets"
