Had lunch at Claridges yesterday at an event held by Frank Thomas, BKS and Roger Burnett RBP Promotions.
FT has bought BKS and Toseland's wearing 'em in 2008.

Great news for both parties, BKS can expand and FT have entered into a market where they would have struggled to get into..

Thanks for the heads up Bertie, I've had a deposit down on a set of BKS for longer than I remember. Have left them a message to find out how things work from now on. Do you know if the same team remains at BKS?

Just spoke to them and MCN statement is not quite accurate, the deal is FT have bought the BKS name, but not BKS itself. BKS as was will be renamed BKS Exmouth or similar. The suits sold to the public as JT suits will be to BKS spec and if I have undertood correctly BKS Exmouth, will assist with monitoring the quality due to their expertise is this area. They will not be making the JT suits themselves simply because they cannot handle the required volume. I was told my deposit with them stands and if you want a custom suit from them, then it's business as usual.

Yes, the made-to-measure side of things will still be on its own, according to Brian, but at the lunch the whole link between the quality side of BKS and the gap it fills in the FT range could not have been stressed any more that it was!

Off topic slightly. Does anyone here own BKS stuff? I am currently looking for a two piece and must admit to liking the BKS stuff, but the expense is mind blowing, especially as I would probably have to get a made to measure suit. Can anyone say whether or not it is worth it?
