Hi all, I'm wondering what 2008 bikes - if any - you've whacked some hard-earned dosh down on and what you're part-exing in return?

New Blade? Transalp? CB1000R? ZX-10R? Ninja 250? KTM RC8? Etc, etc! I'd need to have a quick chat tomorrow morning or late this afternoon sometime. But it may give you a 'heads-up' in a magazine.

Hope you can help.

I'd only be interested in the new Blade, bu would need to have another look. Loved it as the NEC, but everyone here has caned it! for this I'd chop the 750 in, but might just see if the wallet could suffer a nice track bike and an 05 R1.

Due to always wanting a something Italian to leave me stranded in the middle of nowhere, I should hopefully be taking delivery of a shiny red 848 in April.

Chopping my Hornet in either for the bigger capacity new Hornet thingy - can't remember what Honda are calling it - or an 848. It'll depend on my mood on the buying day I guess. Either one will then be ridden at 10/10ths of my abilities...............and 4/10ths of the bikes!

Er, OK thanks... I can just see that going in a magazine... 'Rawwwr is getting a red 848...'

Was kinda hoping for full name, what shop you're getting it from, what you're trading up from, where you live (not complete of course, but just the area... and a quote on why choose that bike and why put a deposit down.

Oooh, and my e-mail is there for anyone who fits the above description of buying a new 08 bike! Feel free to contact me!

I part exed a ZX9 C2 and splashed out a new Boozer. Very happy as just now clicked over 600 miles so service and then SSSSPPPPPPEEEEEEDDDDDDDDD!!!

Bit disapointed about the build quality though, perhaps they weren't designed for English winters.

Ah, I see, but then I might look mental if I'm quoted as saying I'm getting an 848 and then go and do something completely mental and get a 916 instead smile

Ha! Yes, very funny! As I mentioned, full address really not required. I think perhaps it's easier to go through the dealers than the people actually claiming to buy the bikes. But thank you for introducing such a sparkling element of levity to this honest and well-meant thread.

Oh, and Andy. Do check out my website at: www.bertiesimmonds.com for proof of who I am. My contact details are on there. bertie@bertiesimmonds.com comes through to my aol account. You can even ring my mobile to confirm who I am.

As I said before I do not need full details, postcode, house number, just 'Margate, Kent' will do, which hardly narrows it down. So no, not a dodgy thread at all.

If anyone IS buying a new bike from the 2008 models contact me on the information I've provided on the threads above.

Cheers.

Bertie
