WHAT Epic ride

Wanted to do a Epci ride on the Speed triple in the summer. What I mean is getting up early, say 5AM, leaving before 6 and just going in one direction ( sort of).

I was thinking of Bristol to north wales. a good 450miles + round trip. I'm not talking 1000 miles plus. just a nice long da out enjoying the riding etc.... But after talking to my Cousin and the problems with police in north wales I think I will not be going there. Seem's there have been a few bikes who have been "run out of town" you could say by the north wales police when riding up there

So I ask where would others recommened going from Bristol for the day??

I was also thinking of St Ives or something.

Take a few days, come up to Scotland and go round the highlands, it's all very pretty and quiet.

I'm considering taking mine to the Alps, I feel the need to spens a few days on the bike for no good reason...
Although I'm not sure how I'll fit any luggage to the Speed triple!

When I did my advanced driving course, we spent a fair bit of time on the A49 round Shrewsbury (albeit we were in cars).

There's some nice bits off the beaten track round there - just go easy in the villages.
