the question is - do *you* really *need* a helmet?

i'll exit stage left

Randlemarcus,
Is your "problem" because the back of the helmet is hitting your neck / shoulders? (ie if the helmet had a "cut away" at the back, would that help?)
If so, try the BMW Sports Integral Carbon. Its sure not a cheap option (as in " how much??? just for a helmet! I've bought bikes for less than that! ) but its designed to be worn in the fully tucked in position. Cut away neck area, high visor front and mounts for tear-offs.
Oh, and only 950 grams too (now go and look at the weight sticker on your current lid!)
HTH,
Dave

Argh, you utter utter bastid. I have one of those on the wishlist, and they are gorgeous, and achingly expensive. Was looking for someone to pop up and say "Look at the Shoei sportmonkey" instead Is your "problem" because the back of the helmet is hitting your neck / shoulders? Ah well, back to counting pennies.
Randle,
If it helps, see my other post about trying to find a replacement visor for the damn thing. All very well getting God's own helmet, but if you can't get spare visors its not exacly ideal.
(But it is ultimately the greatest lid available and I have a problem with my kneck so I can justify it to myself on medical grounds!)
Do you think we should tell those that don't know what it costs? Ok, let's - yours for about £900.

It is the most amazing and georgous lid on the market.
