I've decided to get a dirt bike - recommendations?
Discussion
I've moved house recently and am living on the edge of fields / woodland and can often hear crossers buzzing around on the weekend. I've always fancied having one but now I want to make it reality as we are in the perfect location for it.
With 2 bikes in my garage I will be looking to be sensible and sell on my faithful Hornet
as its about time I put more miles on the Aprilia. That's an expensive shiny weekend toy at the moment!
So, I'm looking to swap the Hornet for a good crosser type bike. Thing is, I don't have much experience with crossers, I've ridden a mates RM and YZ 125 in the past but thats about it.
Anyone got any recommendations in the 1500 price range?
Cheers!

For £1500 your options might be limited, but anything form KTM, Honda or Yamaha will probaly be good enough. I would personally go for a KTM as I feel their built a little better than the Jap equivalents, but they tend to be more expensive.
It terms of what engine its up to you. I would go for a 250 to start off with, as you'll probably be yearning for more speed after being on a 125. I currently ride a 450 and that can sometimes be a handfull, so a 250 would probably do you fine..
