I`ve been away from biking for about three years. Done the sports bike thing (and a Speed Triple)with loads of track days and had Caterham R400/R500 since then. Now looking to return. I just want loads of fun for weekend sunny blats and perhaps the odd trackday. Decided I don`t want to go the sportsbike route again. Perhaps another Speed Triple? Went to a Ducati dealership today and had a look at the Monster, new 696 about to hit the shops. Any views??

I didn't fancy a sports bike or ,ything naked. Didn't fancy a dull sports tourer either. Ended up getting an Aprilia Falco, sounds fantastic, goes well, handles well and is a bit unusual.

If you fancy giggles, have a look at the Tuono and the Brutale. Having had the faired versions of each, I can give the engine and chassis of both the thumbs up. I know of a few RSVR owners who converted theirs to Tuonos. The mentals
