I take it the numbers in brackets at the end are the number of laps they have done , or, just thought of this, is it the lap they were fastest on?

I ask as it seems strange that some of them are doing so few laps.

I think it is the number of completed laps, times were only from 11:30 so perhaps some are being a bit lazy, although there are quite a few injured riders.

Ok, makes sense in that case. smile Just interesting that Stoner is 2 hundredth's of a second off Rossi after only half the number of laps. Tomorrow is going to be good. biggrinwoohoo

So Sweet all on terrestrial TV then?

Damn!

I will be out tomorrow and will miss itfrown
I could record it but there is nothing better that sitting down with your Sunday roast in the lounge, in front of Moto GP.

Why it it we have Football Italiano (which has bugger all to do with us) on at the same time but no Moto GP which it an International event with British competitors?

I'd be really surprised to see Toseland on the podium this year. The reality is that he is not going to get the upgrades at the same time as Rossi and Lorenzo. The Hondas will improve dramatically and the Stoner's Duke will be up there time and time again. If he can get some top 6 finishes before the year is out then he has achieved an amazing result. Podiums next year, with the odd race win should be his target.

Hondas will improve yes, ducati looks great for stoner but melandri is struggling with it, the title is between stoner and rossi no doubt, but when rossi starts losing he starts crashing, people are gonna come unstuck and leave podiums for the new boys, dovisio, de angelis and lorenzo will be near the top 6 this season too i think, all hugely talented riders but apart from lorenzo arnt on factory bikes.

We'll see at the end of the year. The 250 boys have an advantage of track knowledge over Toseland, and the advantage of having ridden hugely adjustable race bikes before. Toseland is a very good rider, but there is a real danger that people get over-excited because he has put in some fast testing times. Top 6 will be a HUGE achievement for him. If you think he is going to be a regular podium visitor and will win a race in his first season then I think you will be sadly disappointed. I'd hate to see Toseland portrayed as 'unsuccessful' because he doesn't appear on the podium in his first season.

Yes and no, possibly but Yamaha are more committed this year to having 4 bikes with the best kit to increase technical feedback and get the upper hand over Honda and Ducati.

Seeing as Toseland managed to be third quickest today, just behind Rossi and just ahead of Stoner, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him take podiums this year.
