looked it up and its 425 miles from London to Lemans, the journey seems less complicated and isnt quite as far as Assen, its on the 18th of May, there was quite a lot of interest in the previous thread on the subject and i am definatly up for going as it is close and im sure a good ride down some nice roads could be planned, so is anyone up for going if this is the definate GP decided on?.

Done LeMans for the car 24hrs the last couple of years. Its fairly boring for the bit from Calais to Rouen, then there are some gorgeous roads for the last bit.

Already going down there for the 24hrs, so probably wont come and play for the MotoGP. Talking to the locals, its a little wilder than the car do smile

You going down with Oggs's posse?

I am on Houx Annexe, although I haven't booked ferries yet. Not sure if I'm on two wheels or four.

To the OP, I prefer the western crossings - Transmanche are only £76 return for bikes; Newhaven-Dieppe. It cuts out the boring (but ever so efficient and good quality) peages down to Rouen.

We're also going down for the 24hr - probably about 7 or 8 of us. Last year was my first, weather was AMAZING all the way there and back

Am still undecided smile Wanted Houx, but all gone. My wonderful chap has sorted out some HA tickets, but if its HA, I might just have a word with young Oggs, and see if there's a space or two there.

If you're on two wheels, give me a shout, be nice to skip those peages. Zzzzz... biggrin

Been to the 24hour race in the Griff a few times with Team Langoustine.
Had a great time, but if you are camping make sure your gear is secured as we had some stuff nicked a couple of years ago.

Depending when you want to go, I think there may be a place in a blue 360, leaving Tuesday. I am going down Thursday (shortage of holiday!) and intending to use the early crossing, which I think is 7.00 or so.
