Why bother with any thing other than a rs125, most others are 4 stroke and slow atleast a re-restricted bike will do a ton and is still quick to 60, can pick up a 2003 rs125 for no more than 2000, and will out handle most bikes, iv got a rs 50 (haha) with a 80cc stroker kit, and arrow exhaust and that does 80 on the clocks, silly for a 50,

C, derestriction and fitting bit bore kits could mean you are illegal and your insurance is viod.

d to start, has had lots of warranty work to fix things like leaking petrol tanks, stalls at one traffic light, then idles at 4000rpm at the next one, it will be replaced with a nice fuel injected 4 stroke 600 as soon as she passes.MaximumJed said:

Call the dealer he had bought it from just 45 mins earlier who said " bring it back and we'll look at it"
How TF was he supposed to get it back?
after 6 months of continued problems and non starting he sold it and bought a Honda.

As someone this bike is targeted at, a beginner biker (albeit at 27 rather than 17) who wants something cool, but safe, to learn on this really interests me. I just wonder what it sounds like. Not a fan of the bee in a biscuit tin noise some 125s make.
I think we're in the same boat. I'm going to be buying my first 125 soon and this interests me a lot. However, as a previous poster has pointed out, there are plenty of Chinese and Korean manufacturers out there using their own designs or licence-building old Japanese bikes (that were and still are just as good as they ever were) for significantly less than this.
I'm quite impressed by the fit and finish of Hyosung, especially the GT125. They do seem quite heavy for the engine though.
I'm not going to sit here and pick that to bits, Twinners, but...
if you want to buy a badly executed 90's bike, why not save yourself some money, and buy it second hand.
Having poked around a couple of Chinese bikes, I can safely say I wont be touching them with a barge pole, both for the agricultural build (pig iron and lumpy welding), and the decidedly iffy quality control. Hyosung are the best I've seen, and they are woefully behind the pace.
This bike is not really aimed at people who ought to be doing their full test and moving forwards to proper bikes in a very short timeframe.

Hoyosung are South Korean and are head and shoulders about the Chineses stuff.if you want to buy a badly executed 90's bike, why not save yourself some money, and buy it second hand.

The bike looks and feels lovely. I sat on one at the NEC last year and they feel like a big bike. If it was 2T I might be interested but I would never pay £3K for a bike that will never have over 14hp. At the moment I'm gonna keep my DT125 as a bike I need to rely on and then maybe an RS or MITO for abit of fun.
