I fancy doing a few trackdays this year on the bike (and in the car). Any recommendations for good tracks (preferably in the Northern half of England) for cutting my teeth so to speak. The only time I've been on track was a Level 1 CSS course and I fancy doing a few days before I go back for a Level 2 (probably in June).

Also, any other novices out there fancy doing a day or two sometime. I'm a bit limited on days but can squeeze stuff in and do midweeks if anybody else fancies it.

Could be tempted... Based in London, but haulu me and the bike up and down to Yorkshire fairly often, so a side trip to a trackday might be fun, especially if it gets rid of the yellow vest smile

I've just spent the day at Silverstone (I thought the north started at Watford) doing the national track and IMO you couldn't wish for a better beginner circuit. Its so wide with so much run-off that you can push your limits in relative safety. Plus there's only 4 corners and a chicane to worry about so at least you know where your going by the second session

There's nowt wrong with a yellow vesthehe

silverstone (one of the smaller layouts) is ideal for a first timer...nice and wide with good visability

the gp layout is my favourite uk circuit (so far)...sooo fast and open

Focused Events do something similar called a "Chequered Flag Day" there's no dates listed on the website yet but it may be worth a call
