I keep my 'bike parked under a cover on a small section of private road locked off by an enormous gate (to which I have the key).

However, I share it with a neighbour, who parks his cars there too. No problem usually, we keep out of each other's way.

However, the last time I went for a ride, I noticed that he'd had the builders in, who had decided to dump all their rubbish where I usually park my 'bike.

I probably wouldn't kick up much of a fuss if they'd decided just to wheel it back a bit, but I found the cover had clearly been taken off (and put back on badly), there was someone's bum-print in the rain on the saddle, and a huge muddy footprint on the kick-starter. Clearly they hadn't ridden it anywhere but for all I know they could have freewheeled it all over the road trying to get it started.

This one is new to me - has anyone else had builders tampering with their 'bikes while they've been out, and what have you done about it?

Bearing in mind that there's nowhere else I can put it.

Complain to the boss of the firm; it won't have been him doing it, but he's still responsible for his staff.
At the very least he should give his crew a rollicking; if you're lucky you'll get an apology and a bunch of flowers.

I'm still finishing off a nightmare of an extension, during which time I had to ask the boss of the firm to send a different plumber following the crap attitude, racist attitude and foul language of the original moron he sent.

Alternatively, take a day off work and lie in wait with a sniper rifle...

I've got a chain lock that I put on it when I'm out and about, but I didn't expect to need it when it's inside a secure locked compound.

Also, I'm a little wary of actually doing more damage if they attempt to move it with the chain on.
