Cat D insurance claim?

Means dont be a tightwad, and get a shiny one with carbon
I'd be more wary of Cat D bike write-offs, as plastics damage is often enough to write a bike off, meaning the assessor is less likely to look further for things like frame warping. Owner buys the salvage, second hand plastics off Fleabay, looks like a good repair etc etc.
From a dealer, maybe as you then have some comeback, but make sure you have a good written description from them, certifying that the bike is in thoroughly roadworthy state.
