Had a call from a very nice man who, if I can get my stuff together enough to borrow a Fireblade for next Friday (Good Friday), if only to arrive on, is willing to let me play around on an 08 Blade. And an 08 GXSR. And an 08 ZX10. And an 08 R1.

Which would be rather fun, I thought.

Still trying to rearrange children looking after type stuff, but I rather suspect it would be somewhere airfield like..

Thoughts?

Mate, I'm guessing an 07 GSXR750 wouldn't fool him??!! Cause it's yours if you need it.

Is it me, or does it look like it's been front ended?

who cares about the front end, because no one will be seeing it, only the rear end as they are trying (unsusccesfully) to keep up.

the bike is the absolute tits, forget the looks, ride one and youll never go back............

voice of experience, ive ridden 13 (20-25 miles each bike) know and loved evry minute and mile.

the white and black is by far the best looking one, indeed the one that was at the nec last year with the single seat hump and high screen is my fave that ive ridden so far..........

Right, well, you know how slippery cold tyres are? And how slippery new tyres are?

And how much of an eejit I might be occasionally?

Was creeping mouse style away from Red Dog, as it had just been serviced, and was literally smoking from the liberal slatherings of inhibitor all over the inside of the fairings, so got seven yards out of the dealership, back end went 90 degrees right, caught that, only for the left hand side of the tyres to find grip, so highsided it, and came down on the clip-on.

Not hugely happy about it, but no bones broken, and fully comp is for winners.

On the plus side, you feckers will find it tricky to work out puns about roads, rather than hedges.

They're not terribly bad, but you can imagine that Red Dog dont keep a large stock of multi hundred pound panels for a bike they rarely get through their fingers, and only comes in that colour for that particular model. Should be back in a bit, nothing too hideous.

Nick, I'm apparently entitled to one, but am not pushing the issue over much, as I'm working in Coventry at the mo, and the train sort of works while its raining, and then I have the kids all next week, and wont be using the bike overly much then (its tricky fitting three of them on the pillion seat). I've got the CBR600 MOT'd now, and it will be taxed this week for quick whizzes.

Really would like to sort out a Blade for Friday though, even if its only riding it the ten yards round the corner so the article can say I arrived on a Blade smile
