Just booked 2 weekend passes and camping for Donny MotoGP, using the MCNGP code. Gives you the whole weekend for the price of a standard Sunday ticket, camping extra.

All in £160 for everything. Not too unreasonable...

Get in by 28th March to get the offer, for those that haven't seen it.

Cheers,

Johnny

See you there! We're camping for the weekend, too. It should be a sunny year this year wink

2004: Mega Sun
2005: Biblical Rain
2006: Mega Sun
2007: Biblical Rain
2008: biggrin

I remember 2005 so well. Not getting out of the car park til about 2100. Mrs Johnny took the car and tent etc. while i was left to ride the 90 miles home to Leeds in the pissing, freezing, rain... So much fun!!

She went to the Chinese ahead of me getting home and had it all waiting in front of the fire for me! Bless...

I thought it was 2003 with the Mega Sun. I got pretty badly burnt.

I remember 2004 quite well, it was overcast and drizzly where i was sitting.

Not as bad as 2005 though frown

You camping on site? I've heard you have to tread carefully in the woods, because there are no other 'facilities' wink

Yep, camping on site. Will get there early and get a good spot near the fence, or at least have the tent set up by a friend early.

Being near the fence means you can pop out to use the 'fence-loo' but have the track for the security vehicles/Police as a barrier .

However... a few years ago (poss 2004) we had people keep trampling between our tent and the one next to it so blocked off the gap (there was a much bigger one on the other side). Next morning i awake to hear Mrs Johnny cursing 'dirty f**cking, dirty minging fecking barstewards' etc. - someone in their pissed state had decided to take the biggest of big dumps right outside our tent...

Cue much cursing on my part, telling lots of people to fk off and walk the other way etc. I ended up having to clear it up as the stewards were having none of it, we put boxes etc over it but people then used that as a step... So i had to use a couple of bin bags... and you get the picture.

A completely unfunny experience. So in answer to your question - yes, camping on site can have some minor issues.

Oh, how i wish i had caught him doing it...

I think I'm going to go this year, not camping though. Got a mate in notts so will probably commute in on the bike from there.

Camped for the BSB at silverstone last year. Was an awesome weekend crowned by the hog roast in the beer tent drinklick.

I love the whole camping bit of bike racing, just adds to the fun.

One of the best times i remember was at Brands for the BSB a few years back. Just rocked up, took the car into the fi0led right near the side entrance and pitched the tent next to the car. Wasn't too busy, or too quiet, a few people had minimotos etc. and a cracking weekend was had by all. Plus the weather was lovely...beer

Rawwr - glad you found my experience so... enlightening! biglaugh
