So I'm thinking of shopping in the gsx-f for a smaller (read wheely prone) bike and a car. I was wondering about these schemes that let you transfer your no claims bonus from bike to car. Having not had a car in years insurance is going to be crippling on anything I'd like. Has anyone had experience of this, for example the Carole Nash one, as thats who I'm with at the moment. I rang up a few years ago and they said they wouldn't be offering me it 'at the moment'. Standard phone fob off line or are there criteria for such things? Thanks.

Yeah its fairly new, but I was pretty sure someone in the world of PH would have had some experience of it. We'll see I guess.

ncb can sometimes be "transferred" done it in the past, insurance brokers seem to use it more than an insurance company would though

Some companies do swap bike to car NCD and car to bike. My son did it last year, If I recall it was with Direct Line.

He is home at weekend so I'll quiz him then. I know he is only paying a few hundred pounds on a Suzuki 650 and a Ford Fiesta , aged 19.
