i was lucky to meet him in the paddock one year (2002 if i recall) he was riding the TAS suzuki at the time...such a top bloke

i watched the production 1000 from the creg, DJ was visibaly quicker than anyone else down that straight

We certainly will,4 of us on the trip this year,staying in Douglas so lots of late nights on the prom and then getting lost eating chips/cheese and gravy at 4am!!!
oh the memories.......
Lived on the island for a while but not been to TT for 2 years now so can't wait.

I remember being up at Windy corner back in 1999 and DJ turned up at the corner on one of his race bikes out for a shake down ride,no number plate and very loud.
We rode back into Douglas trying to following him,no chance.
Until we got near Governors Bridge an the Police pulled him over.
Then seeing him at the hotel(Stakis/Hilton)at the Honda Pitstop that evening having a drink,we we're with Slick(Foggy's head mechanic)so got introduced.One of the best nights ever!!!

Before you are allowed to go to the TT you have to pass a test to see how you ride....

They then give you a sticker to go on the front so that everyone can see what class you are in.

Says it all.
