Finally decided to get my arse into gear and do my DAS, and then get a bike.

I know what bike I want, I've found most of the kit, but there is 1 item which I can't for the life of me find...

Boots

It's not that I don't like any there, its just I can't find any in a size 16...

Even all the american sites I can find only go upto 13's...

Any ideas?? Have to be classic look ideally...

Cheers smile

I remember seeing an advert in one of the bike magazines, for a clothing shop that catered for the "larger" gentleman.

I'll see if I can find the details, maybe they also stock larger boot sizes....

Edit: Found it. The place is called "Big Biker Clothing Company", they are in Poole apparently.

Boots upto size 50 apparently (not sure what that is in "old money&quotwink.

If my feet where size 16, I think I'd struggle changing gear.

49 is normally the most.

I've a mate who's a size 15 and our local place had a set of alpine stars sorted for him. Special order though, takes a few weeks. The downside is you're not going to get to try them on.

How about:

http://www.altberg.co.uk/Web/custom.jsp

Looks like £300 - 600, but they'll definitely make them as big as you want, and you'll get the 'trad' style you're after!

Alternatively, these guys might be able to do something:

I've got a pair of altbergs for winter and they're rock solid boots - highly recommended.

Cheers for all the links smile

Went to Bill Smiths earlier, they were sizing up 50's, but when I got back and checked, the size I'm after is a 51.5 EUR, but I 'might' be able to squeeze in a 51 if its a wide fitting...

I know its going to be a few hundred tho frown Still, worth it in the end I reckon!
