Started buying gear on Saturday - helmet and boots - so the plastic took a bit of a hammering smile

The boots I went for are the Sidi B2 Gore Tex. Very nice and bit more understated than some of the Sidis. Wore those for the first time yesterday on a CG125 and I was really struggling to get my left foot tilted far enough forward to hook under the gear shifter, so very messy gear changes as a result. My instructor reckoned my height (6') might be an issue on such a small bike, or stiffness in the new boots. I'm hoping it's the latter.

Just wondering how long I should expect the boots will take to soften-up or what I can do to help the process. They're excellent boots, but very stiff at the moment.

Mine have just started to bed in.

I've got some Sidi Vertigos (more of a race boot) and I wore them around the house a lot - for a couple of hours at a time, probably over the course of a week. After that, a CBT and a few days of DAS riding, they are now supple.

Wear them around the house as much as you can, even if you are just sat watching tv.

yup wear them lots. its probably true the bike could do with adjusting to suit you as well, might be worth asking the instructor if you can do that. its only one nut so a 5min job including trying it till your happy.
