Hazard perception test
Discussion
Erm i might have a theory test booked soon, and I've done quite a few hazard tests, but the cheat fuction is worrying me. so far I've got 50/60 on all the hazard tests but the odd zero keeps popping up for the cheat either clicked too many times or rythmicly... although looking t the clips and the clicks on review I cant see any rythm !!!
so im justt wondering anyone thats done it recently just how sensitive it is to too many or rythmic clicking..
looking at the reviews i usually spot the hazards early and then give a few more clicks to make sure... seems the only safe way to do it as its easy to get a 0 rather than a 5 !!!
cheers

When i was preparing for my test i found that clicking as soon as i saw a hazard and then clicking slowly 3 more times i found more often than not i was getting 4/5 mark. It is a bit of a lottery though. On my actual test there was more than 1 clip with 2 definate hazards and on the clip that was supposed to have 2 there were 3! Good luck with the test.

I passed the theory test last week and have the DAS test tomorrow. The hazard perception test is a pain, and I got 0 on the first clip because I clicked about ten times. On the rest I got 4/5 out of five.
I reckon if you aim to keep your clicks under six per clip and use them only and AS SOON as you see the 'threat' developing into one that will cause you to stop or change course, you'll be OK. If you waste a couple on hazards that don't develop, you've still got some left when the real one comes. My second hazard came about half way through the test.
The threats that developed were a bit obvious to be honest: people walking into the road with a 6 foot plank of wood, fixing traffic lights on a step ladder, sheep at the side of the road (this was my double hazard), cars screaming into the road from a side road. That's all I can remember at the mo.
Hope that helps.
