Had a cracking day out on the bike yesterday. saw quite a few bikes & TVR's over cat & Fiddle.

Really nice day for tooling on the bike.

No, unfortunately I was working until late afternoon so I had to endure the torture of driving past people hooning around looking cool as F**K whilst I'm sat driving a great stinking Bus frown.
I was hoping to get out this morning but the rain gods put a stop to that idea again.

Roll on Tuesday and Wednesday when I can get out weather permitting.

Nice pics BTW wink

An afternoon in front of the tv with world supers was the closest I got to any bike action this weekend.

Fully suited, booted and gloved I went to get the bike out. As I was taking it off the rear stand I noticed a nail in the tyre.mad

I did over 500 miles on the VFR yesterday. Unfortunately they were mostly motorway miles from Essex up to the Croft circuit and back.

It was a good test for the bike though which it passed with flying colours smile

I'm hanging my head in shame. I didn't turn up at Croft as it looked like it would rain, obviously it didn't.

It's only 60 miles from me.

Looks like I've turned into a fair weather biker. Hope you had a good day at Croft.

Yep got out for a few hours in the morning - left at 7am trying to beat any traffic, got back at 10am. Unfortunately around 1-1.5 hours of that was getting in and out of London! Lovely weather though, shame today has been a bit iffy.

lol smile It managed to stay dry yesterday when I was there and only rained for a little while this morning but the track dried quickly.

Had a great day there. My mate came 5th in Roadsport A in his first ever race. He then managed to get 5th again today in the second race, even getting up to 2nd briefly smile

You'll have to take the bike out next time it rains just to lose the fair-weather rider label wink

I was out all weekend, picked up my new (to me) ZRX1200R on Saturday morning, so had a good ride home from Telford, then over the Cat & Fiddle, on to Matlock, then back via the the Bosley road... cracking good fun.

Went out in the rain yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed that too, surprising as I usually hate riding in the rain but I told myself to stop being such a poof and just get out and get some miles in - glad I did!

Used the bike instead of the car to visit the immediate family over the weekend. First significant ride outside London this year. Sat was excellent weather and great taking the non-motorway route.

The only downside is this has just re-enforced to me that as I get older (past mid 30s lol), I need something more comfortable that requires less effort (i.e. more cc/power/torque) to hussle along than a sports 600. wink Too much gearbox dancing required lol

Indeed, Honda just need to provide me an element of fairing and then we might have a winner! Effectively the Honda version of the FZ1 Fazer. I guess if they did this it would rather leave the CBF1000 redundant.. but thats a nasty lo-tech (save for the ABS) heavy bike of which I can't get remotely interested in having looked at one in a dealer.

That was a helluva run for you, pleased you didn't get soaked either way, I'm gutted that I didn't just go, would have been cool to meet you.

Next time.

I'll be out next time it rains, I need to rid myself of the shame.

was up in yorkshire with mates saturday, ended up in willingham woods? i think that was it anyway, linconshire direction. some great roads & had a brilliant day trying not to get burnt.
yesterday i timed it just right coming home to essex to hit the M1 for the thunder lightning and hailstones! that was lovely to ride in! stopped at a mates in mansfield for a cuppa till it stopped. A617 was flooded getting into town, good couple of inches deep & fast flowing across the road, lovely.

I like that exhaust pipe. Not much travel in the forks though
