Any preferred choices of insurance companies when looking to insure the first bike ??

Any 'specialists' that take on a novice, or is it just a case of trawling the various companies and seeking out the best quote??

And........any that should be avoided ( and why ??).

Thanks ......

MCN's website has a page with a whole load of brokers, worth tralking though them as the best company will tend to vary with bike, age, location, etc.

I feel...well, dirty.
Had it not been for the fact that you have T350, I'd have probably been violently sick.

well, I think you have to be open minded.

I do not want a very fast bike, ( I'd kill myself ), and I like the look of it.

........so I bought it.

buy what you like ~ thats what I say.

Always used motorcycle direct since passing test 6 years ago , always very helpful and polite on the phone and do what they say they will do . Quite competitive with good cover too . ( recovery , riding abroad etc...)
Recently had to cancel a second policy with them for a second bike i had with a named rider , couple of days later a cheque arrived , they had given me money back as there was still time left on the policy , what more could i ask for.

That sounds like a good deal. Worth a look.

Thanks.

www.thebikeinsurer.net is a good starting place.

QFR on your choice of bike; if you like it that is all that matters. We all hope you have many, many years to play around on various types of bike, and at all times the best bike for you is the one you want. smile

Avoid Bennets like the plague; I know of nobody who has ever had a satisfactory claim with them.

Try a couple of search engines like moneysupermarket.com or gocompare.com.

I just had a quote for a friends 2007 Transalp for less than eighty bucks from go compare. Fully comp, 300 excess, underwritten by hastings direct.
