Always being one to rant when things go belly up I thought it would make a pleasant change to heap some praise instead smile

Last week I noticed my HG Cruise jacket had started to wear through the outer layer showing some Goretex liner on the flap next to the main zip. I gave HG a call and was told that's it was probably down to me not doing the jacket up properly furious , but they'd get a loan jacket in and send mine off for inspection rolleyes

Anyway, I went in today to drop the damaged jacket off and was prepared to go to town on them as the jacket was bloody expensive and less than a year old. I was stopped in my tracks though by both the assistant and the manager who were superb. With no quibbles at all they replaced the jacket with a new one and said the warranty of two years would start again on the replacement. I was only in there for about 15 minutes too.

So, well done Hein Gericke on Clapham Road. They've always been great when relieving me of my hard-earned, but it's good to know they're just as helpful when you have problems thumbup

Hats off to HG , i was ( and still am ) very impressed with the Luton store,
went into there a while ago to get some new textile trousers , was so impressed by the service and product i ended up coming out of there with a jacket to match the trousers , been back for boots and gloves since then .
Always friendly and helpfull and no pressure selling . Clean and inviting place to be to.
I did send a letter via their web site saying how impressed i was and i know from going back to the store that the letter was fed back to the staff .
It's all too often that people rant at wrong doings and bad service but it's nice to give credit to people when it's due.

Good stuff.

While we're on the subject of HG stuff, could someone point me in the direction of a good website selling Gericke stuff? It seems fairly difficult to find a distribitor near here (French alps).

Thanks in advance and apologies for the post hijack biggrin
