Same here - why waste good rubber? I always think to myself that when a rear tyre is used up I'll burn out the last little bit, but never do. Why? It's loud and antisocial, and wouldn't give a good impression to (non-biking) onlookers, and as we've just seen, ample opportunity to make yourself look like an arse, for no appreciable gain..
