Thinking of getting back into biking, and I am keeping a eye on a zx10 which is local to me,

would like to do some touring down to friends in south of france,

is this a bad choice of bike to start back again, any major problems with a bike of this age.

other choice would be a cbr

ZX10? Go for it mate. Hard as nails engine and go round the twisty bits real fine. Might be hard on the wrists for a long haul but worth it!

Aren't you talking about the 2004 onwards zx-10r?

I think the original poster is talking about the 1990 ish pre-zzr1100 model which is a big heavy beast but with a big gutsy engine..

Good for touring but you need to be aware of its weight on the tighter turns..
