Would you say there was a market for an expensive street rod like this?

I like the concept, but I'm confused by the suggestion that they'd want to keep it seperate from the Monster range. From what I gather they're going to be releasing a 696 style Monster with the 1100(?) engine used in the Hypermotard. So they're going to have an 1100 naked and a 1098 naked? Seems a bit daft to me.

If i bought a so-called naked, the 1098 would be right up there, i guess.

Never mind the 1098 based monster, have you seen the mock up of the desmosedici (sp) vesion... thats the one I want... it would probably be 30k plus though if they made it !!!!!!

The design looked unbalanced to me with it keeping the high tail. IMHO if they altered the tail so that it wasn't so high and long then it would look better and probably sell more.

They're probably excellent bikes, but won't have a fraction of the charisma, sound or soul of a big Duc.
