Wooohoooo, my mate has taken the plunge and just bought a 2004 RSVR - collection this Saturday. We're off for a blast to Wales to aid the running in process.

Not sure why I am so excited, as he bought the bike, but I am looking forward to riding it too.

Last year he moved from a ZX-9R to his current Mille RSV, which was the catalyst for me to trade in the VFR for my current GSXR. Wonder if this will make me go shopping again myself! Now when exactly does the 2004 blade hits the shops........

Where did your mate get his bike from? I am interested in getting one but my local dealer in London is not expecting any 2004 bikes for the next 4 weeks...

Not Reading after all. He's getting it from Motts, in Basingstoke. He's bought the last of their standard R models, and they have 3 Factory models left it seems.

You might want to give them a call to see when they are next getting the R model in again.

Hope this helps.

Best so far is £1,071 from bennetts.

That is despite 5 years no claims, over 30 and garaging the bike overnight. Why oh why do I live in London??

I know a lad with an RG500 that is nicknamed Jenna- after the 'adult' movie star Jenna Jameson, coz not only does the RG have a lots of plastic, but also coz it only loves to be ridden really really hard & also just like the real Jenna it screams out loud in pleasure when you sh*g the tits off it
