Good friend of mine is selling his bike, once in a life time oppertunity i guess. Bike building was around 65.000 euro's. The sale price is lots less.

He is building a house and wants to start a 600cc racing adventure. I'm his first team mate LOL

You won't believe how fast it is, it's absolutley insane, but fully controlable, that's the great thing.

Rear tyres don't last long :P

On this pictures the old wheels where still mounted, at the monent there are 10 spoke light race magnesium wheels mounted with TUV. Stronger and lighter and longer life garuantee by PVM.

Also some small details was taken care off.

I know, seloc isn't bike banter on PH wink Different crowd.

Not really to sell the bike because i suppose with the credit stuff going on it won't be easy.

But people who love bikes of custom projects will propably love the view.

I will post some pics in a sec..

looks ok , for a suzook.

on the other hand if i was to spend that much on a bike, the letters HRC would be frequent on my bike.

And then wat ? wink HRC gives 10hp a sticker ? :P

Honda is nice and better quality, but suzuki was a better start at that time. Honda would get problems as well you need to sort when you go this far. Suzuki was easier to make reliable.

Engine is Suzuki, but how the suspension is and the driving, honda feeling. But then really really powerfull.

hell, if the hrc stickers on the bikes in the workshop next to mine only stood for 10bhp, then we really would be in trouble, nice calipers, similar to my set on the 929 forks and front end about to go on my new toy, problem is suzuki make rocketship fast bikes in a straight line but not the best feel and certainly not the best build quality, i know of several friends who have 07/08 gixxers and all have wear and tear issues already.

i like them, dont get me wrong, but 65k on any road bike is a bit ecxessive, hell thats a damn good (if not 3) seasons thundersports racing.

and an 2 ex paul bird blades as well!!

Is anyone really going to pay £29,000 for a used GSXR1000, however modified?

My K5 gave problems to. We found out what suzuki made for mistakes, and that made me decide to buy a Honda wink To high oil pressure, bad crankbearings (forgot the english word for them) , etc.

On this bike everything has been sorted, oil pressure lowered, etc. Finally better then honda but it have cost him lots of money wink

The Honda driveability is lots better, that's why he putted in so much money to get the honda feeling, however it whent a little extreem biggrin

The calipers are something special, not really designed for driving in the rain (maintenance) and if ducati mounted these, 99% of the ducati people would have kissed tarmac biggrin

But this one is new, only drove 5000km in the current setting i believe since tuning. After couple of 1000km's the engine was pulled out and checked to see how everything was doing, absolulty fine (thank god..)

Looks and probably sounds really nice but it's still a K5 Gixer 1000 . . . would be far better to sell all the various parts separately and put the bike back to as near stock as possible. Same with modified cars, they never make anythig like their build cost. Your mate could easily sell the brakes and suspension for good money and maybe also the engine if he has receipts and dyno graph to prove the power wink then sell the rest for top money for k5 1000.

I know, but he isn't selling it because he must, if he sells it he starts to race in the 600cc competition, if he doesn't, he drives it on the road and will buy a 600rr for trackdays.

I'm very familliar with selling it in parts etc, drove tuned cars and bikes before, thanks anyway wink

i will post a dyno graph when i have some time to go to my tuner this week. Have to go there anyway.

It's great, but just too expensive, when £10K gets you the fantastic 2009 R1 or GSXR1000 and thus all the performance 99.9% of people could want on the road.
