I got a quote from Bennets: first bike in six years, no bike insurance history in this country, 48 yrs old, on an old 1200 Harley, fully comp, for £99.

But I heard so many bad reports I decided to go to someone who had a better rep. I eventually chose Carole Nash, at about £170. That includes breakdown recovery and some other extras.

Another with Carole Nash, just a tad over £200, Ducati 916 fully comp & breakdown. Not had to claim through them but they do seem quite efficient.

Im with MCE, loads of others were coming back at 700-1000 for my NSR125 but i went onto thebikeinsurer.co.uk (comparison site that will beat any quote you get online) and got one for 400 odd fully comp with leather cover puncture repair roadside recovery, loads of extras, give them a go.
