Kawasaki's possible withdrawal could also mean trouble for Dorna. With Kawasaki gone, the number of entrants would fall to 17, below the minimum said to be guaranteed in contracts with the FIM. And this late in the game, with just a few months to go to the start of the season, it would be very difficult for Dorna to persuade another manufacturer to make up the shortfall. With Honda, Ducati and Yamaha supplying 6, 5 and 4 bikes respectively, the only real room for expansion is with Suzuki. But as stated before, the future of Suzuki's participation is far from certain, so persuading the Hamamatsu factory to enter an extra machine is almost laughably unlikely
The future really is not bright for GP's, costs too much money.... i love bikes so i love motogp, but i prefer sbk as a spectacle because the huge grids, better racing.
I personally dont think it will happen, i think dorna will offer kawasaki funding to stay ship, if kawasaki leave and the economic struggle gets worse next year then without doubt susuki will pull out too, and honda aint exactly concrete.

In my eyes, your eyes and alot of people eyes 2008 it was, but i mean on a worldwide viewing, i dont know where they go from here, generally speaking boss of gps has made a real cock up recently, i dont know how gps will survive at the moment, hes just shot himself in the foot further with this 600 class and the rule ruling new teams out of joining it, so potentially you have a crap grid on the proper class, a 600 class that might not be that busy either (though that was the reason of getting rid of 250s) and then the 2 poke 125s (which are the only real race of the weekend anyway)... its just far to expensive for current conditions, where wsbk compared is cheap.

Everything I've been reading would indicate that the new 600 class is going to be very well subscribed. Thanks to the 'no new teams' rule the 250 grid is looking quite healthy next year as everyone is trying to get in before the lock.Autosport say Jorge Martinez Aspar is trying to get a deal to run the works bikes next year now.
