Broke my alarm fob on journey home last night
Discussion
what a muppet - had it on a thing around my neck - but tuck it into my jacket pocket normally too.
Anyway - it popped out - battered itself on the tank I think - as by the time i heard the noise......i had the strap around my neck - but the alarm dongle was missing and the clip broken.
Anyway - its an Acumen Cat 1 alarm fitted as standard to the new R6.......
i've been on website - and can order a new dongle.........but my question is - do I need to get one with a special code? or does any dongle 'mate' with the alarm box on bike?
yours, confused

TRANSMITTER CODING
THE ALARM CAN ONLY KNOW 2 TRANSMITTERS AT ANY ONE TIME
If you don't have a key fob and you don't know the PIN
1. Trigger the alarm by switching on the ignition and leaving it on
NOTE! If the siren does not sound (i.e. - it has already triggered 10 times for an 'ignition on' reason) then click HERE
2. While the alarm is sounding, remove the system fuse and connect both anti-tamper switch wires
to the bike battery positive terminal
3. Wait until the siren stops sounding
4. In the quiet period, before the alarm sounds again (10 seconds) replace the system fuse
5. The alarm will give 1 beep and the indicators will flash once
6. Press transmitter 'key' button once - you will hear 1 beep
7. Press transmitter 'key' button again - you will hear 3 beeps
(You may not hear these because the alarm may be sounding again by this time)

You don't have a spare? I've always had spare alarm fobs for all my bikes. I'm surprised you don't have one as ALL alarms generally have two coded fobs provided! Sure you don't have one tucked away with your spare key? Was the bike bought new?
oh yeah. I have a spare - but I don't want to be down to one incase I do someelse stupid.

while trying to learn a key (both keys forgotten by Acumen Cat1) i'm at the point 1. "the siren does not sound (i.e. - it has already triggered 10 times for an 'ignition on' reason) then click HERE"
The problem is when i click HERE it is nothing. As i remember, at that link was a procedure for dropping pin and key fob for another learning.
Is anyone which remember this procedure?
Many thanks
